Two Telangana expats murdered in Dubai

Two expatriates from Telangana’s Nizamabad and Nirmal districts respectively were allegedly murdered by fellow workers in a bakery in Dubai on Friday.

According to information reaching here, Ashtapu Premsagar from Soan village in Nirmal district and Srinivas of Nizamabad district were allegedly stabbed to death by a fellow co-worker hailing from Pakistan. Soan Sarpanch Tirukkovela Vinod Kumar told The Hindu on Tuesday that the younger brother of Premsagar reportedly received a call from Dubai informing him about the incident.

“Sandeep came to me and informed that his brother and two others have been badly injured in a fight with a co-worker at the bakery. After sometime, it was confirmed that Premsagar died on the spot while Srinivas succumbed to his injuries later. Another person, also from Rajanna Sircilla district, was admitted into a hospital,” he said.

Swadesh Parikipandla, member of the Advisory committee on Gulf Migrant Workers Welfare said the Soan sarpanch had sent him all the information pertaining to Premsagar and sought the government’s help in getting the mortal remains back home.

The victim Premsagar is survived by wife and two daughters. It was a double tragedy for the family of Premsagar as his grandmother had passed away on April 10 in the village and his brother-in-law met with an accident the day he was murdered.

No more details are available about how the incident took place, Mr. Swadesh said adding that the victims were working in Modern Bakery LLC in Al Quoz Industrial Area, Dubai.
