Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said in a message on ‘ X ‘ that the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Parliament of the United Kingdom to his elder brother Chiranjeevi enhanced his glory, and that he treated the ‘Megastar’ as his father figure and the hero of his life.

He congratulated his brother on receiving the prestigious award and wished that he should continue to receive many more awards in the future. He also conveyed special thanks to Member of Parliament from Stockport Navendu Mishra for hosting the award ceremony.

Mr. Kalyan noted that Mr. Chiranjeevi started his life as the son of an ordinary middle-class excise constable and rose to become a Megastar in the film industry through his own efforts and the blessings of the ‘goddess of art’. 

For four-and-a-half decades, Mr. Chiranjeevi entertained the fans worldwide with his acting, and won nine Filmfare Awards and three Nandi Awards for the Best Actor thereby establishing himself as a synonym for acting excellence.

Further Mr. Chiranjeevi showed him the way when he was confused and unsure of what to do in life, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said. Besides, with his spirit of service, Mr. Chiranjeevi established the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust, which had been providing blood and eye donations to the needy. This inspired crores of his fans to become social servants.
