Entertainment has hit critical mass over the last decade, with more shows and movies being produced and released than ever before. It’s impossible to keep up with everything hitting the digital space, whether it be Premium Video on Demand (PVOD) or a traditional streaming network. With that in mind, we figured it was well past time for us to whip up a little something to help you keep up (and catch up) with all there is to watch in the big, wide world of digital viewing. And thus, the Streaming Rewind was born!

We’ll update this list at the end of each week so you can check out what you may have missed, and what’s coming up on the weekend. We’ll keep it a mix of popular releases and noteworthy lesser-known titles to help you find what’s worth taking the risk on as well as dive into a few things that we loved and why we loved ‘em, or just break down a show or movie that left us with some opinions. Sometimes, we’ll even have guest entries from other members of the IGN staff. If you’re not interested in all that and just want to see a bulleted list of what’s out there, pop on down to the New and Noteworthy and ICYMI sections.

The Rule of Jenny Penn (Shudder)

Who’s ready to be mad at John Lithgow? The 79-year-old actor has had a busy couple of years, playing back-to-back jerks in Conclave and then The Rule of Jenny Penn, but there’s an extra level of evil in the latter. This horror flick isn’t about the supernatural or traditional terror. Instead, it’s just about a miserable, pissed off old man who will do whatever he can to devastate those around him. Lithgow and Geoffrey Rush — who plays a judge who suffered from a stroke, landing him in the same nursing home that Lithgow’s character occupies — play off of each other with ease, delivering the kind of “both of you are jerks” kind of cat and mouse game that is hard not to enjoy. There’s mind games, there’s torture, and yeah, a few people die. This one is definitely worth your time this weekend.

The Studio (Apple TV+)

Apple TV+ wasn’t ready to drop people’s attention after the Severance Season 2 finale, so it followed it up immediately with Seth Rogen’s The Studio. Apple TV+ has always exceeded in the quality vs. quantity department, and it seems like they’ve added yet another special series for both the lovers and the haters of Hollywood. Showcasing both the petty games of the industry and the on-set chaos that comes with making, well, literally anything, The Studio is both panic-inducing and hilarious for anyone with an ounce of familiarity with the creation of film and television.

Cannibal Mukbang (Digital and Demand)

So far as directorial debuts go, Aimee Kuge delivers with her first feature. A messy (literally) story about love, family, and cannibalism features a strong performance from co-lead April Conalo as Ash. Nate Wise’s Mark brings with him a level of awkwardness that it’s difficult not to root for as he and Ash’s stories crash into each other, changing both of their lives for good. If you ever needed a story about a vigilante cannibal, Cannibal Mukbang is for you!
