WWE RAW Results and Highlights (3/17/25): John Cena Returns to End Relationship with Fans and More

WWE RAW in Belgium started with one of the most much-awaited segments and ended in a chaotic match that could have changed the trajectory of WrestleMania 41.
The March 17th edition of WWE RAW emanated from the Forest National in Brussels, Belgium. The night kicked off with the return of John Cena as a heel, featured explosive matches and ending in a chaotic manner.

John Cena segment

The show kicks off with the return of John Cena who met with a mixed and loud reaction from fans. Cena berated the audience claiming that they have been abusive towards him for 25 years. They saw him as a mere object and never cared about his feelings. He put an end to his relationship with the fans and thats when Cody Rhodes arrived to a huge pop. The American Nightmare made it clear that he wanted to face John Cena at WrestleMania 41, not the ‘whiny b*tch’ standing in front of him. Cena left after Rhodes as the fans chanted ‘Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye.’

Ludwig Kaiser vs. Penta

This match was a No Holds Barred match. Kaiser and Penta had been going at it for weeks coming down to this physical encounter. The audience in Brussels were on their feet for the match. The duo used foreign objects and display a classic showdown. The final moments saw Penta unloading with multiple chair shots to Ludwig Kaiser and delivering a Destroyer on the chair and Penta Driver for the win.

Ivy Nile vs. Dakota Kai

This was a singles match between the two women’s superstar. The back and forth action came to its end with chaos. Chad Gable attempted to distract Dakota Kai. That led to Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee arriving and brawling with Gable and American Made. Amidst the chaos, Dakota Kai delivered a Yakuza Kick and followed it up with a GTK to pick up the win over Ivy Nile.

WWE Women’s World title contract signing

IYO Sky and Bianca Belair met in the ring for the contract signing of their WrestleMania 41. As they exchanged words, Rhea Ripley made her way to claim that it was her match to be in. A heated exchange led to Rhea first taking down Bianca with a headbutt and the power bombing IYO on top of Bianca. The segment ended with Ripley signing the contract and leaving with it.

Jey Uso vs. Austin Theory

It was a relatively short match between Jey Uso and Austin Theory. The action came to an end with Uso delivering a huge crossbody on Theory to pick up the win. Gunther once again tried to attack Jey from behind and lock in the sleeper hold. But Uso broke the hold and sent Gunther over the top rope while getting hold of the World Heavyweight title.

Brutus Creed and Julius Creed vs. Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee

This match was a classic tag team showdown between the two rival sides. The ending of the match saw Rey Mysterio connecting a 619 and slingshot splash combination on Julius Creed to pick up the win for his team. However, after the match, Grande Americano ambushed Mysterio and continued the assault until security rushed to the ring.

Seth Rollins segment

Seth Rollins addressed the events of last week’s Monday Night RAW. He stated that now he had to deal with both CM Punk and Roman Reigns. Knowing that both men will be on SmackDown this week, Rollins decided to make a trip to the blue brand too to confront his rivals.

Finn Balor vs Bron Breakker

The main event match was for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Bron Breakker and Finn Balor delivered a classic showdown that garnered loud reactions from the audience of Brussels. The match came to a dramatic end when Dominik Mysterio’s interference led to Finn Balor losing his balance on the top rope. Bron Breakker took out both Dominik and Carlito, delivered a Frankensteiner and spear to Balor to retain his title. However, he was ambushed by the trio until Penta arrived to make the save. As he made it clear earlier, Penta was coming for the IC title and stare down Breakker as the show came to a close.
