Youth booked for flashing at neighbour

Shivajinagar police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly flashed at a woman and later assaulted her and family members for objecting to his behaviour.

A case has been registered against the accused for outraging the modesty of a woman, assault, and criminal intimidation.

According to the police, the incident occurred at Rajiv Gandhi Colony on Queens Road on April 13. The victim was going to the terrace after dinner to sleep when the accused, a neighbour of the victim, allegedly flashed at her and sought a sexual favour.

The victim objected and a verbal altercation ensued. It took an ugly turn when the accused started assaulting the victim and her family members and even ransacked the house. Seven people, including the victim, her mother, among other family members, sustained injuries and were admitted to the hospital.

The entire incident was recorded on a mobile, which went viral on social media. The accused is presently at large and efforts are on to track him down.
