Rinshul Chandra, Chief Operating Officer of Zomato’s Food Delivery business, has tendered his resignation, the company has said in a regulatory filing on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). In BSE filing, Zomato said resigned on Saturday April 5 and his last working day will be April 7, 2025. Food delivery is Zomato’s biggest revenue generating vertical.

Top-level resignations at Zomato
Zomato has seen a string of resignations at top level since September last year. In September 2024, chief people officer and co-founder, Akriti Chopra, resigned effective immediately. According to the company’s stock exchange filing, Chopra left company to pursue other interests. One of the oldest Zomato employees, Chopra joined Zomato in 2011 as a senior manager of finance and operations. She was promoted to chief financial officer in 2019 and became a co-founder ahead of the company’s IPO. In her most recent role, she was also Zomato’s chief people officer.
This was followed by the December resignation of Hemal Jain, who was global head of finance and CFO of B2B grocery supply unit Hyperpure.
